Maddie Obermark

St. Louis County

Maddie’s clients often describe her as warm, authentic, and easy to talk to. She strives to create a space where clients feel safe, seen, and supported as they work toward self-compassion, stronger relationships, and their full potential.

Maddie holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is a PLPC under the supervision of Dr. Alexandria Boyer, PhD, LPC as she pursues full licensure.

Maddie believes therapy can be a space to build a unique, genuine, human connection and foster conversations that help you feel more understood, more curious, and more compassionate toward yourself. She is especially passionate about working with teens, women, and young adults who feel pressure to “have it all together,” are navigating big emotions during big life changes, or are trying to quiet that inner voice of shame and self-doubt. Conversations around body image and food are always welcome, and approached with curiosity and compassion.

Maddie often utilizes person-centered, strength-based, health at every size, and attachment-based approaches along with CBT. However, therapy is not a one-size-fits-all treatment, and therefore she believes in an integrative, collaborative approach. Meaning, she will treat you as a unique, multi-faceted individual and make a plan with you to achieve your goals.
